Yes Janice, let’s embark on this long journey around Scotland!
I’m eager to show our friends how beautiful the colours of Scotland can be though our Scottish journey began on such a grey and misty day. Mind ! grey has its beauty too.
Anyway, there’s something magical in this country and, like Gandalf the Grey, Scotland can be radiant and multicoloured.
In the morning you feel as if you are going to disappear between sea and sky in the misty atmosphere but in the afternoon the wind has risen and the ocean is of the deepest blue. The day after you can’t believe your eyes when you see that the white, pink, yellow and red rhododendrons are burning bright under a scorching sun. There, you can never know.
That’s Scotland !
Remember that when preparing for a walk, just in case… even if the weather is fine when you start. The weather is of such a changing nature there.
By the way, Janice, did you know “Alba” meant white in gaelic ?
